How to Get PSA Certificates 2020 (Birth, Marriage, Death, Certificate of No Marriage)

Disclaimer: All procedures and requirements that I will share in this post are my own experience when I obtained my PSA Certificate. I am not, in any way, affiliated with PSA or any Census Serbilis Center.

PSA (formerly known as NSO) certificate is a requirement when enrolling for school, applying for passport or even getting a visa. The process is not as complicated as others think. It is just plain simple. Like what I've mentioned in my previous post about PSA Certificate, there are three ways on how you can attain it. First is through walk-in or personal appearance at their office. There are several locations throughout the Philippines so you can choose one. Second is through an online application. And the last one is through an accredited PSA store like SM Business Center.

Me personally, I always opt to go to their office which opens at 7:30 in the morning. (Just a heads up, there are always a long line so make sure you have snacks and drinks with you.)

This photo shows the forms you need in getting your certificate. Please be guided accordingly.

Here are the requirements:
- Personal appearance
- Accomplished application form (bring your own ballpen for ease)
- Valid IDs / Government issued IDs (please refer to the photo below) + photocopy
- Fee
Birth, marriage, death certificate (Php155)
Certificate of No Marriage (P210)

Left: Updated prices of the certificates as of Jan. 2020; Right: List of accepted Identification Cards

Upon arriving at the PSA branch of your choice, take a form from an information marshal (can be the security guard) and ask for a queuing number.

Fill up your form completely and once your number is called, they will screen your application form and ask for a photocopy of your ID card. You can now pay to the cashier or collecting office at the back of the window if there is no additional requirement needed from your part. They will give you a receipt and you need to wait until your name is called. You then need to queue at the releasing window when you hear your name. And that's it. You now have your PSA certificate. Done!

For CENOMAR (Certificate of No Marriage), it takes 4 working days to be released.

*I got my certificate just recently, January 07, 2020.
