How To Change Your Marital Status in Your TIN ID (BIR) 2019

Disclaimer: All the procedures and requirements that I will share in this post are my own experience when I changed my status. I am not, in any way, affiliated with BIR.

One of the easiest ID to update is the Tax Identification Number (TIN) Identification Card, according to my experience. Here's what I did step by step.

1. Log in at the entrance.
Security guards will ask you to log their book and they will take a photo of you with a valid ID (can be your old TIN ID card) using a webcam from their PC.

2. Ask for form.
Upon entry, you need to ask for a queuing number and the form (BIR FORM 1905 - Application for Registration Information Update / Correction / Cancellation) at the front/help desk.

3. Fill the form up.
Write down your details (Part 1 [Numbers 1-4], Part 2 [Number 6] and Part 9 + signature) and wait for your number to be called.

4. Submit your form with other requirements.
Proceed to COR Update window and submit the form with a photocopy of your PSA marriage certificate. They will update it instantly. (click here on how to get PSA Certificates):

5. Verify your TIN Number.
They will verify your Tax Identification number with your new registered name if it is now updated in the system.

6. Ask for another form.
Go back to the front/help desk. Another form (BIR FORM 0605 - Payment Form) is needed to have a new ID card. After completion, proceed to the Payment window to have your form verified.

7. Pay at the Bank counter.
Go to the nearest Landbank and pay the TIN ID card fee (Php100). They have a form (BIR Payment Slip) dedicated to BIR related transactions.

8. Make a copy of your old ID.

You need to surrender your old ID and its photocopy.

9. Return to BIR Office.
Make a queue at COR Update window and submit your receipt, old TIN ID card and the photocopy of it.

10. Claim your card.
They will give a TIN Card claim slip with the date when you can get your new ID card. It usually takes one business week.

And viola! You have your updated and new ID card!

If you have further q's, don't hesitate to leave them on the comment section below. I would be delighted to help!

Here's a VLOG I made when I went to BIR Office to get mine. Enjoy!
