the sunday currently | vol. 7

Hello everyone! It was a nice day today again! I don't have work, so as my husband, so we went to the cinema and watched my favorite Mission Impossible movie with some friends. It was nice having a day off after a whole week of work. Anyhow, I am happy too to have new readers for my blog. I've received a direct message from Instagram saying that my posts are informative. Ohh, that makes me happy. It means that I don't only post crappy stuffs here. Hahaha.

So currently, I am...

Reading and looking for Tiramisu recipe online. My husband asked me if we can have that dessert one of these days. And actually, I am thinking of making refrigerated cake for dessert. Too bad that I did not pursued it, he must have had his craving the past days already. Last time, I was at a supermarket and I have the ingredients in my hands already. But knowing that I only have limited cash that time, I returned everything. Maybe, tomorrow, I will o back to the supermarket and finally buy them.

Writing plots for my job because this month is going to be a blast. It will be a very busy month for me and for my husband. We will go to Manila for a 3-day convention, we will try to get a schengen visa for me, and we will try to prepare for our trip to the Netherlands. I hope it will not be a toxicating month. I hope we will still find time to watch movies and so. Anyways, I am not anxious about those things. I know we will have time to bond with each other, no matter what.

Listening to nothing. At the moment, I am not in the mood to listen to anything.

Thinking of making a request to have a special plotting for work.

Smelling the odd wet ground smell because of the nonstop rain this weekend. I think I'll be brushing out the concrete floor at the back of the house again.

Wishing to receive my passport this week, since they said that it will arrive of the 2nd of August, but, of course, I doubt that.

Hoping for the time to slow down a bit. I cannot keep the pace. It was super fast! Haha.

Wearing my pajamas which are partnering up. It is a blue Hello Kitty, a gift from my mom.

Loving the grocery haul we did last night, wuhoo! We have food again!

Wanting to make a dessert for GJ. Maybe, I will make avocado ice cream today. We got lots of them from my parents yesterday. And also, bags of jackfruit. Yummy!

Needing finish this blog post so I can work on the dummy schedule that I made.

Feeling sleepy. I watched another Mission Impossible last night after the cinema. So I stayed awake til 12 midnight. Can't get enough of Tom Cruise I guess. LOL.

Watching noting at the moment. But maybe, I will watch another Mission Impossible movie again later while doing something in the kitchen. Why not?

So I think that's it! How about you? How was your week so far?

Skip The Ordinary

Last Wednesday, I had an appointment to go somewhere at 1 in the afternoon. I was afraid that I will be late so I take the courage and I outrageously brought my husband's bike to the place I needed to be. It is actually not a bike, the one with pedal. It is an electric bike, quite heavy for me, since I only weigh 49 kilograms these days. When I calculated the distance, it was only 1.5km (approximately). So I thought, it is not that far. I can drive from here to there and I can probably go back.

On my way there, I got problems with my stuff so I stopped in the side to arrange it. Unconsciously, I was not pressing the break but instead, steering more the accelerate handle bar. You know what happened next? I bumped myself into a signage. I was surprised too! After few seconds, I came back to myself and I continued driving. It was fun actually, but scary at the same time.

I have drove cars (van and owner-type jeep) before (by the way, I am a licensed driver, though I do not have a car. Haha.) but never an electric bike. While I am on my way, I thought that driving on a bike is really dangerous compared to driving a car. On an e-bike, I do not have any covering for myself in case I will have an accident, compared to a car, which I am super enclosed while driving.

Anyhow, it was a nice experience though. After that, when I was going home, I called my husband to pick me up. I don't want to worry him. I am not that keen on driving so I rather keep on practicing first, most specially on steering, one of the difficult things I find.

But still, I never regretted what I did. It was another experience, and now, no one can take it away from me. I love trying new things. Next time, I will just be very mindful and cautious. Hihi.

Crossing Oceans: Vol. 1 | Shaun & Angel

Are you super focused with your own relationship? Why not take a while and see how others are doing! Just like what I've mentioned in my co intro (Crossing Oceans serie), my very first featured LDR couple will be the one who helped me had an idea on what interesting post I can have on this awesome blog of mine. LOL. Kidding aside, And I am so happy that Ms. Angel favorably agreed to be highlighted on my blog. And actually, I was overwhelmed by the number of couples who participated on this serie. There's so much to look forward to!

Anyhow, here's just a little background on how I came to know them. I was using the new account I made for the couple thingy of me and my husband, when I bumped into her account. They got an instant follow from me (which I forgot when was that actually, probably few months ago already). I like how they portray their commitment online. I've also witnessed online one of their meetups when Shaun went back to the Philippines. Angel's life as a full time office staff while doing vlogs, surprising her partner with amazing gifts like personalized cards and inspires me too. So now, let's see how they cope and pass trials when it comes to their long distance and interracial relationship.

the sunday currently | vol. 6

First off! Good evening everyone! I hope you guys are doing good. It has been months since the last time I made an update for this series. Since I've been working on a new one, I think it is better to retain the others. So, the niche won't just go around and around the same boring topics. Anyways, the week went well so far. I felt better now than the previous weeks, where I felt very light headed and groggy. The doctor's findings never said I'm having some sort of illness. So I assumed that it is just because I was dehydrated. I then take a lot of sweat replacement drink like Gatorade.

Reading some answers sent to me by other LDR couples from Instagram. I am enjoying knowing how they handle their relationship.

Writing more blogs for this account, because I just found out that this is too awesome to just ignore and keep aside. LOL.

Listening some Tagalog songs from Spotify. I want my husband to pick up some Tagalog words, though he already knows some. And reflecting on the love songs I used to listen to when I was young, those songs really never get old. They are still as beautifu as they were the first time I've heard them on the radio with my favorite DJ on the favorite night program in highschool. Hays, time flies so fast. I am now living a new life away from that life.

Thinking about the dummy schedule I need to draft for the leave at work. The following months will be busy, for sure, because of paperworks for my visa. You know how hussle it can be right?

Smelling the rain (?). I don't know how to say but, it is raining the whole day with extreme wind and thunder. We went out using the bike and we were soaked in the rain like a wet chick (as per say in the Philippines).

Wishing to have my passport on time and have a visa for September. It won't be nice if we will be separated for 3 months considering that we are just newly weds.

Hoping for a continuous part time job offers that will never hinder the primary work we do, preaching.

Wearing my very old black and floral blouse I got from my aunt (who's now my ex-aunt because she and my uncle got divorced, but I still love her to bits!). It is a little bit torn out already but it is so comfy that I can't even let it go.

Loving the idea that I am active on blogging again. The fact that I have never ending ideas makes me so happy!

Wanting eat something before going to bed. Although we had ramen already for dinner, I still feel a little bit hungry.

Needing to wash our bed sheets because we do not have something to sleep on anymore. I wasn't able to wash the first one because it is always raining and I am afraid that it will not smell as nice as the others. So yeah, maybe, tomorrow before leaving home, I will prioritize the wash. We will just leave the dehumidifier on so it will dry fast.

Feeling tired because it is already midnight, but my head is still telling me, "Sleep is for the weak!". Men! There's a lot of things running through my head.

Watching Suits, an American serie about a smart guy who wasn't able to graduate in Harvard, though it was his ultimate dream, but still had an awesome job at a prestige law firm. I like watching this kind of movie, though sometimes, due to technicality of words about the law, I do not understand. Haha.

So I think that's it! How about you? How was your week so far?

DP Blog Serie: Taking It Out to A New Level!

Few days ago, I've learned another interracial couple having a blog. I was in ecstasy so I never doubted at once but lurk into their website and splurge into their stories. In her account, she featured other interracial couples and that just gave me an idea. After telling her my plans, I never dilly dally and thought of a nice title for the new serie that I will be using to exhibit other LDR couples out there, for their stories be known to the world. Though I am maintaining my blog to be as low profile as possible, I also want to learn how different couples handle their relationships. And I know, that through featuring them, other individuals having issues might get some sense out of it.

Aside from the series that I started (Dating a Dutch Guy, Dear Future Husband and The Sunday Currently), this one will be included on the list and will be posted regularly. I am calling this new serie, Crossing Oceans. Basically, they will be those LDR couples who live miles away from each other and have limited time together due to life status, visa restrictions, international issues, and the likes.

What will you expect on this serie?

There will be a dozen of questions, which I personally handcrafted myself, to assess the status of your relationship. Couples will be requested to answer the q's with all honesty. Being committed means honesty, right?

Don't worry, there's no evaluation that will happen. It is their life anyways. This is just to learn how interconnection works, looking at different perspectives, demography and attitude towards their relationship.

So yes, it sounds exciting, yeah? (Well, for me at least!).

My first LDR couple will be posted very soon. Please stay tuned! Adios!
